Senior Student Team
We are proud of the contribution made by our Presidents, alongside the team of senior students, who engage in initiatives across the school to promote positive and enjoyable learning.
Introducing our Senior Student Team of 2025-26
My name is Kiara, and I’m currently studying History, Politics, and Economics. I’m incredibly excited to be part of the Senior Student Team, having the role of socials. I have lots of ideas I can’t wait to put into action such as fun events for the younger years like cookie competitions and bake sales, as well as exciting activities for sixth form, including our Halloween social and hopefully a few new events too. Beyond school, I absolutely love volunteering. I had an amazing opportunity to travel to Kenya in August 2024, where I spent ten days supporting local schools and hospitals. I also love spending time with the amazing friends I’ve made in sixth form; they’ve been a huge part of my experience at FCC, and I couldn’t imagine it without them. My best piece of advice would be to work hard, but don’t forget to make time for the people and experiences that make school memorable. A great balance between studies and your social life is key. |
Hi, my name is Winnie, and I am Co-Vice President here on the Senior Student team. My subjects are Drama, Film Studies and English Literature, these were my favourite subjects in lower school (apart from film studies obviously although I love watching films). My Interests include studying feminism and the evolution of women’s rights; I enjoy Drama and performing arts and occasionally going swimming! Some ideas I’d love to see implemented here at FCC is more charity-based events at school, for example raising awareness for children’s mental health awareness and domestic abuse prevention as this is a growing problem in this country. My best pieces of advice are to never let someone tell you you’re not worthy of anything, always support yourself and never stoop down for anything or anyone! |
My name is Olivia Russ, I take biology, chemistry and psychology, and I am currently interested in a career in medicine. I oversee communication and marketing for the senior student team. My best piece of advice is to start making flashcards early on as you cover new content. |
My name is Lyra, I'm currently studying Biology, Psychology, Economics whilst making my way through my EPQ project. I am so thrilled to be one of your presidents and take on my designated role of visible leading. During my time in sixth form as a part of the Senior Student team, I hope to help the school improve as a community by bringing the upper and lower years together through organising fun charity and social events and increasing involvement beyond what it has ever been before. Outside of school, I have been competitively dancing for almost all my life which I still do every week, but other than that I really enjoy going out with my friends and doing fun activities with them. My best piece of advice for sixth form is to branch out and make new friendships because as much as it is important to stay on top of everything it would be even harder without the support of others. |
My name is Sarah-Jane . I am currently studying Theatre, English Literature and Psychology My role on the Senior Student Team is Head of extracurriculars My interests include performing, reading my favourite books and anything revolving around criminal cases. Watching and researching them helps me familiarise myself with legal proceedings, which I will need to study law at university and become a lawyer. My ideas I would like to implement a method of communication between students, staff, and each other, through “FCC Parliament”. This will be a place for you to present your opinions and ideas in an articulate manner to promote positive change. My best advice is to create flashcards shortly after all your lessons. They make revision for exams much easier and more efficient. |
My name is Alexandros , and I take Further Maths, Maths, Drama and Theatre, History and Greek for my A-Levels. I am interested in a wide range of areas such as Law and the Film Industry as well as Business Management due to my interest in incorporating leadership into my future career. I am President in the Senior Student team, so my role is to help organise my team into arranging activities and events for everyone around the school and introducing new initiatives to potentially improve the school. During my time as President, I plan to organise a clothes sale within the school and introduce a cultural evening to celebrate the cultural diversity within FCC. My best advice for anyone at school is to know when something is not working for you and to know when a different strategy is needed. For example, if you are revising using a blurting method but you are noticing that the work you have put in is not reflecting on your test results then you need to try something different. Perhaps flashcards or past papers or just a completely different method of revision that you made yourself. |
Hi there! I’m Jonathan, one of the vice presidents on the senior student team. I’m taking film studies, psychology, and English literature, and I plan to study literature at university. As one of your vice presidents, I want to ensure that everyone here can feel comfortable, safe, and fulfilled as a student. To help with this effort, I hope to implement systems into school that can better help anyone who is struggling, whatever the reason may be. If I could offer advice to anyone reading this, it would be that you know best when it comes to deciding who it is you want to be. It is better to admit you walked through the wrong door than to spend your life in the wrong room. |
Hello, my name is Jonny Oliver and my role within the senior student team is head of community (remember this for later). I take Drama, English literature, psychology and EPQ as an enrichment: I am very interested in performing arts and theatre and hope to pursue it at university. I have many ideas about how we can connect the younger years with those in sixth form to create a much better school community. These ideas include visible leader’s tutoring, mixing year groups on the sponsored walk, promoting extra-curricular activities, creating new traditions for the years leaving school and many more. My best piece of advice for the younger years is to revise a lot in year 12 and enjoy sixth form - it’s a great time of your life. |
