Senior Student Team
We are proud of the contribution made by our Presidents, alongside the team of senior students, who engage in initiatives across the school to promote positive and enjoyable learning.
Introducing our Senior Student Team of 2026-7:
| I’m Riley, and I am one of the two presidents, and my role within the senior student team is to oversee activities and initiatives that involve the whole school, working closely with the other members of the team. For my A-Levels, I take geography, which is my favourite, as well as psychology and product design, which I think gives me a good mix. I also take an EPQ, which I am basing on the pros and cons of social media use in adolescents. My advice is to enjoy your time at sixth form, as much as it is extremely important to keep on top of your schoolwork, make sure you are spending time with your friends and enjoying yourself, as ultimately, that will benefit you, and your mental health the most. I enjoy swimming, which has led to becoming a lifeguard, which I think suits me well. In my spare time, when I’m not revising or at work, I enjoy reading and walking. |

| Hi I’m Ash and I’m the senior student taking the lead on sports within the team. I take A-Level German, history and religious studies, with my favourite being RS (and I also studied core maths in year 12). I enjoy building Lego, watching F1 and rugby and I also love playing rugby. My dream Lego set is the Trevi Fountain, which I loved seeing in person on the Monte Cassino school trip. My piece of advice would be to not overwhelm yourself with exams and to try not to stress too much about them. Slowly studying small bits throughout the year is much better than cramming the week before, and it will also make you feel much more prepared overall for your exams. |

| Hi, I’m Tadiwa, and I'm in charge of charity within the school. I'm currently studying Psychology, Chemistry and Biology for my A-levels. I love cooking because I love eating too! My piece of advice would be to find the perfect balance between your school and social life, because that alone can have an impact on your progress in sixth form! |

Hi, I’m James, I am the senior student in charge of the environment and I take physics, product design and English literature & language for A-levels. My interests are: Architecture: I’ve been interested in design, especially the creative and social side of it for years and over the years, that interest has formed into a passion and desire to go into the architectural field. Literature: I was not much of a reader until about year 8 when I was hooked on a graphic novel series and after that I’ve always got a book on the go almost always fiction. Gaming is my main hobby and has been a big part of my life since I was seven. I enjoy playing a wide variety of game genres and like all kinds of different types of games. I play on both console and PC, which lets me try games that are available on different platforms. Gaming is something I genuinely enjoy and spend a lot of my free time doing. My general advice would be to pre-read the topics you're doing in lessons, because it makes it so much easier to learn in lessons when you already have a base of knowledge. My revision advice is to do as the teachers say, “little and often” it builds up really quickly and makes revision a lot less overwhelming. |

| I’m Jonas. I am one of the Co-Vice presidents of the senior students. I study Maths, law and film studies. My advice is to take things slowly and work your way through the content thoroughly. A-Levels are a lot, and they only get harder, so do what you can when you can. Every little bit will help moving forward; and your best friend is a mark scheme. GET TO KNOW what the examiners want to see and how they want to see it (Especially for any essay-based subject). If you need help, just ask; one of us or your mentors will be happy to help ! As much as you can go on a walk, it’s one of the best things I’ve found to help out and just remember your doing the best you can and that’s all anyone can ask for. |

| I'm Evie, I take English, psychology and Geography, (as well as doing an AS in German in year 12) and I'm head of Inter-Year Connection at FCC. My aim in this role is to make the two years here sixth form the best possible for everyone, by making your voice heard. My best bit of advice would be to enjoy all the time you have, because it does go faster than you think. I would also remember to continue your hobbies, for example, I have continued my writing and gaming outside of school. It helps with managing your stress and coping with the workload of A-levels, take time for yourself and prioritise your mental wellbeing over grades, because while grades are important, you won't get those grades you need for university if you're stressed or burnt out. As for myself and my interests, I enjoy creative writing, trying to write my own story alongside my A-Levels. I spend quite a bit of my spare time playing video games with my friends and I enjoy taking my dog on walks or spending time with family and friends. |

Hey, I'm Caitlin! I'm a skateboarder, I love writing, and I'm currently studying chemistry, biology and maths. My role on the senior student team is improving sixth form connection. My best advice would be not to underestimate yourself. You can go much further than you think if you’re willing to keep showing up and working for it. |

| Hi, I’m Niamh, and I’m one of the senior student presidents! I take drama, English Lit Lang, psychology and EPQ. In my free time I love performing, such as singing, dancing and acting! Outside of school, I take part in National youth music theatre and British youth music theatre, as well as taking singing and dance lessons! I also enjoy reading (when I have time) and going to Gail’s bakery for an iced chocolate. My best piece of advice is to stay on top of your notes and revision resources! Exams can be overwhelming, but the stress can be reduced if you have already made your revision resources! I recommend making flashcards after each lesson or mind maps once you’ve completed a topic! Also, speak to your teachers and ask them any questions about anything you’re unsure about, as they are so so helpful and can alleviate any worries you may have! But also remember to have fun and have a balance of work and free time to do things you love! |

| Hi, I’m Della! I’m one of the Co-vice Presidents and also the Head of Inclusion. I take biology, chemistry, psychology (and core maths in year 12). My hobbies are going on walks, watching shows and listening to music. A good revision tactic is to plan ahead the revision you’re going to do for a specific topic and plan what time as well – that way, you’re more likely to end up doing it if you know exactly when and what to do. Revision timetables are a great way to do this. It may take some effort, but it will pay off. Trust me (coming from someone who made one)! Always remember to be organised as well. Organisation is the key to staying on top of things. My best piece of advice to you is that if you spend so much time fearing failure, you’ll forget to believe in your own success. Don’t overthink it! |
