Extra Curricular Activities

Faringdon Community College offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities and after-school clubs.

There evidence to suggest that students who engage in extra-curricular activities actually do better in school. In addition to the many clubs organised for after school, the college library is open from 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursdays and from 8am to 4pm on Fridays.

Throughout the year, teachers also provide students with various revision and catch-up classes for most subjects as well as opportunities for students to do work in addition to their regular curriculum. In addition, our school sports day takes place at the end of the summer term each year.

Students must remember to be aware of their personal safety. When activities are over, students should make sure they have made arrangements to be picked up if necessary and, if walking home in the dark, they should use a well-lit route and ideally walk with friends. Students should always let someone at home know when they are due home.
