Congratulations to our GCSE cohort of 2018 on achieving the school’s best ever set of results.
Our students worked hard, as did the teachers. There has been quite a shift in the way students are examined with nearly all exams being linear now and they’ve done particularly well coping with these new style exams.
We changed the way we approached the exams this year and there is no doubt that this has had a positive outcome on our results.
185 students achieved 1692 qualification between them!
Highlights include:
75% of pupils achieving a standard pass (grade 4 or above) in English and mathematics
52% of pupils achieving a strong pass (grade 5 or above) in English and mathematics
54% of pupils entering for the Ebacc
32% of pupils achieving the EBacc (Standard pass)
24% of pupils achieving the EBacc (Strong pass)
77% of students achieved five GCSEs at grade 4 or above
26% of entries were awarded Grade 7 or above
Our students have made better than expected progress, with a provisional Progress 8 score of +0.17. And an Attainment 8 score: 53.07
